Path2Green…An award-winning Emotional Resilience Program

February 27, 2024, Announcement from the White House of the United States . . .

"Congratulations on being part of a movement of leaders who are working to end hunger, building healthier communities and reducing diet-related diseases by 2030, as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. We appreciate your partnership."

Many thanks,
Will McIntee, Senior Advisor, Office of Public Engagement

The White House

Building Healthier Communities includes having time and space to play and rest, balance in our work-life, having a sense of safety and belonging in your community, building skills and awareness for how to reach out and serve with ease, flow and peace, and finding, savoring and enjoying nutritious delicious food.

Why did the initiative award the Path2Green with this honor?

Path2Green is one of 141 programs identified as beneficial to the national White House and CDC Foundation Initiative to build healthier communities by 2030. We are grateful to be named and to offer one of the simplest, yet profound approaches to well-being ever developed. The Path2Green is an Emotional Resilience program, that has been awarded over $7,000,000 in research and development grants. The Path2Green is an innovative evidence-based model for personalized health and well-being, having been published and presented at over 30 international and national conferences in multiple formats. This program is developed from core training delivered over the past 15 years, in academic medicine venues for thousands of patients, residents, medical students and other educational and healthcare professionals.

At the heart of the Path2Green program is its commitment to providing knowledge, skills and experiences for building and sustaining Learner Well-Being Communities (LWC). What is an LWC? It’s simply a relational community of two or more, committed to thriving, flourishing and optimizing its potential for greater health and well-being. Examples of LWCs that have benefitted from the Path2Green model: medical students, residents, education networks, lifestyle medicine and group medical visits, healthcare employees, health coaches, nutrition professionals, practicing physicians in large health care networks, psychologists and counselors, nurses coordinating care teams, elder care and support teams, human resource and rural health communities. New LWCs are being created all the time in places of work and worship. You are already a part of so many LWCs, in your relationships at home, work, worship and play.

We so appreciate your interest in our Path2Green emotional resilience training program. We’d love to have you (or members of your staff/team) participate in our P2G Professional Train-the-Trainer 30-hour Certificate Program in November. In keeping with our White House commitment, this training will be offered at no charge. We are happy to include your department as a pilot site for the White House/CDC Foundation Initiative, as such, you will be free to use the logos above in promotion of your work with us.
